2 cups of flour
2 cups of colored water (I used Wilton "Red Red" Food dye - is bright red!)
1 Tbsp. of cooking oil
2 Tbsp. cream of tartar
1 cup of salt
Directions:
Place all of the ingredients in a medium size pan. Cook on medium heat and stir it until the playdough thickens. Knead the dough until smooth.
I let the children knead the glitter into the dough. I add gold and red glitter to make it "lucky" Chinese playdough!
I sprinkle the glitter on the table for the children to knead into the dough.

Beautiful playdough! So fun and colorful! We will have to make some soon.

ReplyDeleteMy kids at home will love making it :)
In early childhood - playdough is king! It amazes me how much children adore playdough. It adds such excitement to stir-up a special batch that fits the occasion! A good dusting of fairy dust indeed!! Thank you for your comments!

ReplyDeleteCan you please tell me how much this makes? I need to make enough for 9 kids to each take some home -- would I need to double/triple the ingredients?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
Personally, I think it makes enough for 4 children. It depends on how much you give them but for a nice bit - 4 children.
