Make Lucky Chinese Playdough!

2 cups of flour
2 cups of colored water (I used Wilton "Red Red" Food dye - is bright red!)
1 Tbsp. of cooking oil
2 Tbsp. cream of tartar
1 cup of salt

Directions:
Place all of the ingredients in a medium size pan. Cook on medium heat and stir it until the playdough thickens.  Knead the dough until smooth.

I let the children knead the glitter into the dough.  I add gold and red glitter to make it "lucky" Chinese playdough!

I sprinkle the glitter on the table for the children to knead into the dough.

  3. In early childhood - playdough is king! It amazes me how much children adore playdough. It adds such excitement to stir-up a special batch that fits the occasion! A good dusting of fairy dust indeed!! Thank you for your comments!

  8. Can you please tell me how much this makes? I need to make enough for 9 kids to each take some home -- would I need to double/triple the ingredients?

    Thanks so much!

    1. Personally, I think it makes enough for 4 children. It depends on how much you give them but for a nice bit - 4 children.
