Courageous Hearts

I just love this little power house of a video.  It moves me today as much as it did many years ago.  It gives me goosebumps to think about how one person can change the tide. 

Watching this video again I was reminded - I am the one for this moment, for this child, for this nation.   You are the one too my friend.   Being the one that makes the difference does not have to be like Gandhi's fast or standing in front of huge bulldozers.  But for me,  it does mean honoring my values and standing for a child in my class who might need services or compassion, or homeschooling my children when public education isn't the right fit.

Writing my first e-course was inspired by that deep passion for what it means to be an educator - whether you are in a public school or homeschooling, teaching five year olds or teenagers.  Watching this video each of these people had a passionate purpose and a value system that gave them a courageous heart.  It takes courage to be an educator and to stand for what you believe.  Together we can do it.
